Ruth Kalnitsky Roth
Profile
A partner in the Family Law Group, Ruth Kalnitsky Roth brings nearly 20 years of experience to her family law practice. She is a tireless and creative advocate for clients in every aspect of family law with special focus on complex litigation matters involving high net worth families and international issues, particularly international child abduction involving both Hague and non-Hague signatory countries.
Throughout her years of practice, Ruth has gained considerable experience litigation, trials and appeals at nearly all levels of court. Ruth is also a seasoned participant in all methods of alternative dispute resolution, including counsel-facilitated negotiation, mediation and arbitration. With service excellence at the forefront of everything she does, Ruth is committed to delivering timely and exceptional legal counsel and support to clients, moving things forward as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. Ruth invests time at the outset of every engagement to ensure she gains a full understanding of her clients’ desired outcomes. She is skilled at distilling legal knowledge and complex information in a way her clients understand and provides a clear picture of their various options, while never losing sight of their objectives.
In addition to being a member of the Law Society of Ontario, Ruth is a member of the State Bar of California, the United States District Court of the Northern District of California and the Bar of Washington D.C. She is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers.
To complement her practice, Ruth dedicates time to giving back to the communities in which she lives and works by assisting with the updating of Family Law in Ontario, a local practice guide, volunteering with several Pro Bono programs in the GTA.
