Lindsay Kantor

As Director of Talent & Recruitment, Lindsay is responsible for the firm’s talent management strategy, working closely with the senior leadership team to advance all aspects of professional development at Torkin Manes. Lindsay oversees all aspects of the talent lifecycle from student recruitment to admission to the firm’s partnership, including recruitment, integration, mentorship, career development and performance management.

Before transitioning into her current role, Lindsay was a practising lawyer in the firm’s Litigation Group for more than a decade. Her practice encompassed all areas of civil litigation, with particular expertise in health law, professional discipline and defamation. Lindsay leverages the knowledge that she gained from practice, as well as her experience as a student at the firm, to provide incoming lawyers and students with relevant insight and practical guidance.

To complement her role, Lindsay holds several leadership positions both within the firm and throughout the community. She is the Co-Chair of the Canadian Section of the National Association for Law Placement, she is a current member of the Professional Advisory Board of NF2 BioSolutions, past Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Health Law Section, and past member of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Opportunities, Respect and Empowerment.
