Mikaila Venturo

An articling student at Torkin Manes, Mikaila is a recent graduate of Western University, Faculty of Law, where she worked for the Western Business Law Clinic and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, opportunities she sought to complement her academics.  

Throughout her time at Western Law, Mikaila participated in various events hosted by the Career and Professional Development Office, including presenting on recruit-focused panels about her experience working in private practice and with the Ministry of the Attorney General. In her final year of law school, Mikaila participated as a mentor in the school’s 3L Buddy program, tutored students in Administrative Law, and achieved the highest grade in Civil Procedure.

Prior to attending law school, Mikaila obtained her paralegal license and worked in criminal law. As a paralegal, Mikaila volunteered with the Community Information Fairview legal clinic, where she provided legal services to low-income families in the community. She also gained experience volunteering as a peer mentor and tutor with Student Accessibility Services.

Mikaila previously worked with the Ministry of the Attorney General in the Superior Court of Justice and summered at Torkin Manes before returning as an articling student.
