Roland Hung named Chair of Torkin Manes’ Privacy, Data & Cybersecurity Group
Overview
Torkin Manes is pleased to announce that Roland Hung has been named Chair of the firm’s Privacy, Data & Cybersecurity Group.
Roland brings deep experience advising organizations on privacy compliance, cybersecurity, data governance, breach response and technology-related matters. His background as former Senior Legal Counsel and Global Privacy Officer at a large multinational, and as Chief Legal Officer and Chief Privacy Officer of a technology company, gives him a practical, business-minded perspective that is well aligned with clients’ evolving privacy, data protection and cybersecurity needs.
With Roland at the helm, the group is well positioned to build on the strong foundation established by Lisa R. Lifshitz, who founded the group and led its growth to this point, including the Group’s inclusion in Chambers Canada. We thank Lisa for her leadership and look forward to the group’s continued momentum under Roland’s direction.
Roland will also co-chair the firm’s new AI & Innovation Group with Lisa, who will continue as Chair of the firm’s Technology Group.
Congratulations to Roland on this well-deserved appointment.
