Incoming Partner Matthew Getzler adds significant bench strength to Torkin Manes’ Tax, Estate Planning and Wealth Management Capabilities

With more than 15 years’ experience, Matthew has become a leading lawyer on a broad range of domestic and international tax planning matters, primarily for owner-managers and other private corporations. Leveraging his extensive business acumen, Matthew’s clients have benefited from his practical and entrepreneurial approach, which has proven to be invaluable when developing comprehensive plans that uniquely combine both tax and business benefits specific to their circumstances and needs. He has developed particular expertise in succession and estate planning for family businesses and their related corporate groups, corporate reorganizations, cross-border transactions, and tax planning for larger multi-national corporations. His wills and estates practice focuses on personal / corporate tax and estate planning, specializing in complex wills that dovetail with a corporate tax plan, cross-border planning for dual citizens and post-mortem tax planning.
