Torkin Manes is pleased to support Sidney Troister in his campaign for Bencher of The Law Society of Upper Canada. (The Board of Governors of The Law Society of Upper Canada are called Benchers and the president of this Board is called the Treasurer. Benchers help set policy and assist with many other matters related to the governance of Ontario’s lawyers and paralegals.)
Torkin Manes has a long tradition of leadership in the governance of lawyers in Ontario. Ron Manes served as elected Bencher for 16 years. After his term expired, Laurie Pawlitza was elected Bencher and served as Treasurer of the Law Society.
In keeping with our tradition of leadership, Sidney Troister is running as a Toronto candidate for Bencher in the April 2015 election.
