Torkin Manes Law Clerk Paula Dadd — awarded the 2017 OTLA Distinguished Law Clerk Award

Congratulations to Paula Dadd, a senior law clerk at Torkin Manes, who was awarded the 2017 OTLA (Ontario Trial Lawyers Association) Distinguished Law Clerk Award.

The OTLA Distinguished Law Clerk Award is awarded to a senior law clerk, with at least 5 years membership in the OTLA Law Clerks Section, who has consistently exemplified the mission of the organization. The award was presented on May 25th, 2017 in Toronto.

Paula brings more than 30 years of experience to her role as Senior Law Clerk in the firm’s Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Groups, and has been a member of the Torkin Manes family for longer than almost any other member of the firm. She began her career with the firm as an assistant to founding partner, Ron Manes. With her natural talent, it was not a surprise when she later advanced to become a law clerk in 1987.

Despite her dedication to her role at the firm, Paula has also found the time to support other members of OTLA as well as community organizations devoted to those who have suffered catastrophic injury and loss as a result of the wrongdoing of others. In addition to her memberships in OTLA and the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario, she is also involved in the Ontario Brain Injury Association, the Brain Injury Society of Toronto, and Spinal Cord Injury Ontario. She has also shared her knowledge and experience with other law clerks, presenting on the subject of tavern liability at the 2014 OTLA Fall Conference (Law Clerk Division).

We congratulate Paula Dadd for achieving this prominent recognition!
