Mark B. Harrington

Mark's practice is focused on commercial insurance defence litigation, general liability, insurance defence and subrogation. Mark has argued a significant number of contested cases throughout his career and has also successfully conducted a number of serious and significant jury trials.

Although Mark has a large number of reported decisions, he concentrates on the resolution rather than litigation of files for clients if at all possible. He is well-versed in dealing with multi-party complex litigation and has been involved in numerous mediations involving 20 parties or more that may last over several days. Mark has a track record of successful resolution for his clients on these serious and significant matters.

Mark has written numerous articles and spoken to the Canadian Bar Association and the OIAA on various insurance issues, including examination under oath issues, privilege issues, homeowners' insurance issues and adjusters' errors and omissions. He also writes on arson and fire litigation issues for The Journal, a publication of the Canadian Association of Fire Investigators.

When Mark is not working, he enjoys scuba diving and golfing.
